For my studio portrait assessment, I took pictures of Deanna. In the first three pictures, the light source is coming from the left of her, and is coming from above. The last photograph has the light source coming from below and facing up towards her. Each photo shows a different angle of her face and I had her turn her head or body at different positions. The first photo I had her turn her profile to me, and I took the photograph close up and perfectly straight ahead. The second photo I had her look up towards the ceiling, and I took the photo closer to her, still straight ahead. The third I had her look slightly towards the ground, and I went slightly farther back to take the picture, still straight ahead. The fourth I had her looking down again but turning her head at a different angle, and this time I took the photograph closer at an upward angle. My studio portraits communicate a simple, serene feeling. The dramatic lighting and the solemn expression on her face creates a somewhat morose mood.
