In this double exposure image, I chose to combine the picture of Alayna walking in the snow with a photo I took of some leaves trapped in cobwebs. Conceptually, the texture of the photo of the cobwebs combined with the bright sunset in the photo of Alayna creates a dream-like scene. Compositionally, the cobweb photo's texture frames her and becomes more defined as in moves away from her and into the scenery, filling the open space. To merge the two, I first tinted the cobwebs image to a purple hue, then lowered its opacity on top of the image of Alayna, Then I set the eraser on airbrush and erased some of the texture covering her form. The composite image conveys the concept of a memory, with the photo of Alayna being the memory and the cobwebs illustrating the haziness in which one remembers it. To improve the composition, I could probably crop off some of the left of the photo and get rid of some negative space and have the edge of her lying on a third.
